Clear expectations

Business policies.
Plain and simple.

These policies help keep appointments, transfers, special orders, and firearm sales straightforward for everyone.

Effective July 16, 2026

01

Appointments

TommyGuns Transfers is a home-based FFL and Class 3 SOT. All visits, pickups, private-party transfers, and other services are by confirmed appointment only. We do not accept walk-ins. An email or appointment request is not confirmed until you receive a response from us.

02

Incoming transfers

Contact us before a firearm is shipped. We accept incoming firearm shipments only from licensed FFL dealers and do not accept firearm shipments directly from private individuals. The customer is responsible for confirming that the sending dealer has coordinated with us before shipment.

03

Arrival and pickup

A carrier delivery notice does not mean a firearm is ready for pickup. We must receive, inspect, and record the shipment first. Wait for our notification before scheduling pickup. Please arrange pickup within seven days after we notify you that the firearm is ready.

04

Identification and approval

The actual buyer or transferee must appear in person with acceptable, current government-issued identification and complete all required paperwork truthfully. No firearm will be released until all applicable requirements are satisfied and the required background check or approval is complete.

05

Storage

Unless other arrangements are made in advance, a storage fee of $5 per day begins on the eighth day after pickup notification. Extended or unclaimed property will be handled in accordance with applicable law and any required notice.

06

Special orders and deposits

A 25% deposit is required before a special order is placed. Once the order has been placed, the deposit is nonrefundable if the customer cancels or fails to complete the purchase. The deposit will be refunded if TommyGuns Transfers cannot obtain the ordered item. Final price, availability, and estimated timing will be confirmed before the order is placed.

07

Sales, returns and warranties

All firearm and ammunition sales are final. Used firearms are sold as-is unless a written warranty is specifically provided. Customers should inspect each firearm before completing the transfer. Warranty concerns involving a new firearm are handled through the manufacturer under its warranty terms.

08

Fees and payment

Current transfer and service fees are disclosed before the transaction. Transfer, background-check, and other service fees are earned when the related service is performed and are not refundable after processing has begun. Accepted payment methods and any applicable processing fee will be disclosed before payment. Authorize.Net invoices may be used for deposits or customer orders.

09

Private-party transfers

Private-party transfers are conducted in person by appointment. Both parties should bring acceptable Pennsylvania identification, and the firearm must arrive unloaded and secured. A private-party appointment does not change our policy that shipped firearms must come from a licensed FFL dealer.

10

Prices and availability

Inventory, prices, specifications, photographs, and availability may change without notice. A website listing is not a guarantee that an item remains available. We will confirm the item, condition, price, and transaction details before accepting payment or completing a sale.
